First, let me apologize if you find any non professional photos, they were taken with my iphone. The exhibition was with dark lights which I found it more appropriate for what I went to see.
I couldn't missed this exhibit, I guess a fashion lover has to be there and appreciate it with their own eyes.
I'm not gonna say that I knew who Charles James was, in fact, I've never heard of him before since the met gala. I did some research and was done. I'm in New York and the exhibition was until august 10th, let me tell you, it was quite an experience for me to see this great work of art in person.
Every single person that knows me, truly knows me, is aware that I live in wonder with this type of antique dresses. I want to marry my "one" with one of these!!! So, try to imagine how amazed I was by having this opportunity.
Charles James got me, really got my entire attention with details of every single dress. It's totally inspirational to get what it takes to create this pieces of art, because they are.
I was magnified by being in the center of it, me, a random fashion designer Colombian girl who is in constant learning of my career.
I leave you with some of the dresses I love and a quote that defines everything.
SWAK....!!!!!
