Tropic Winter

Tropic Winter

I grew up in a tropical city, right in the middle of the world called Barranquilla with total tropic weather, but we have something we called tropic winter with breeze days, and chilly nights; of course, nothing compare with winter around the world but for a city that it's temperature is above 90 degrees, be 15-20 degrees less than normal is a huge change.

It's not that our weather is cold at all, we can still go to the beach, get tan and wear shorts; it's completely sunny the whole day but breeze as well, we tend to wear more "winter" colors, bright/sparkle fabrics, and try to adapt to what's in trend without looking ridiculous. You'll never see a girl with boots in the city, ever! Pumps are allowed as much as peep toes! Wear them!

Fashion is almost the same for us but without the coats, scarves,etc.. Of course this is a city that lives for fashion, we got the latest trends and girls are totally aware of what the fashion industry have to offer us.

I picked up two different outfits, that define what we can wear for our tropic winter.
  • For a night out, we can choose dark/strong colors, nothing that can make us look boring. That's one of the faculties people near the beach have, bright colors, we show up the joy of our land thru our clothes. Black is always great for the night, make it fun by accessorize your outfit with warm colors, gold jewelry and a red lipstick! ;)
  • For a day time, pastel colors match perfectly with a sunny day, a beach party, etc.. Maxi dresses enhance your figure and gives a glam vibe to your look. Wedges are summer comfy heels.
Hope you can enjoy my little summer in the middle of winter time. Book a ticket and come visit my beautiful city!

HAVE A BLAST..!!
